We need your support to continue our growth and present our community with even more opportunities for engagement. We have certainly come a long way with the generous support of community members such as you, and we cannot wait to do it again this year on August 16 and 17, 2014!Ĭharlotte Pride wants to keep growing as we continue to highlight the LGBTQ and straight ally people who make the Queen City special. And for the first time in the city’s history, Mayor Patsy Kinsey made a formal proclamation declaring August 24 and 25, 2013, as Charlotte Pride Weekend. Last year we saw a surge in attendance, with estimates of over 80,000 over the course of the weekend. Your support also helps us to expand headline entertainment and will help fund a planned expansion of our festival footprint, providing space for more community organizations than ever. We are committed to the expansion and growth of the Charlotte Pride Parade, reintroduced last year for the first time since 1994. Your generous support this year will allow us to continue serving the Charlotte region’s LGBTQ and ally populations. With your support, we can grow community and pride!
